Ogle County Sheriff’s Office Blotter – September 2025
09/01/25 – Warrant Arrest
At 8:25 p.m., deputies arrested Robert D. VanDyke, 44, of Oregon, in the 1000 block of South 2nd Street, Oregon, on an Ogle County warrant for failure to appear on criminal trespass to building and a Lee County warrant for failure to appear on unlawful possession of methamphetamine and DUI. He was transported to the Ogle County Jail. Deputies were assisted by Oregon Police.
09/02/25 – Traffic/Warrant Arrest
At 4:53 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle near North Ridge Road and Independence Avenue in Mount Morris Estates. Devin Thevenot, 30, of Ashton, was arrested for driving while license suspended and on an Ogle County failure to appear warrant.
09/03/25 – Traffic Arrest
At 2:38 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle in the 1000 block of East Illinois Route 72. Clarence M. Feazelle, 33, of DeKalb, was arrested for driving while license suspended and cited for no rear registration light.

At 6:51 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle near South 4th Street and Madison Street in Oregon. Melissa S. Horton, 47, of Polo, was arrested for driving while license suspended.

At 8:13 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle in the 12,000 block of North Illinois Route 2. William Castillo, 34, of Rockford, was arrested for driving while license suspended and cited for improper lighting and no insurance.
09/03/25 – DUI Arrest/Accident
At 8:19 p.m., deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident on Freeport Road at Illinois Route 52. A GMC SUV was rear-ended by a Kia driven by Zachary Berna, 31, of Polo. Berna was arrested for DUI and cited for failure to reduce speed and no insurance.
09/04/25 – Traffic Arrest
At 10:54 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle on Illinois Route 2 near Illinois Route 72. Donner Machado Gonzalez, 39, of Rockford, was arrested for no valid license, speeding, and loud muffler. Passenger Camilo Machado Gonzalez, 25, of Rockford, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
09/04/25 – Traffic Arrest
At 5:30 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle near Flagg Road and Sweeney Road. Natalia Garza, 31, of Rochelle, was arrested for driving while license suspended and cited for no insurance and expired registration.
09/05/25 – Traffic/Warrant Arrest
At 7:00 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle near Illinois Route 251 and Lind Road. The driver, Asadkhodja Rakhmatov, 38, of Channahon, was arrested for driving while license suspended, speeding, and no insurance. Passenger Islom Karimov, 22, of Channahon, was arrested on a Kendall County warrant.
09/06/25 – Traffic Arrest
At 7:29 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle near South Lowell Park Road and West Pines Road. Lawrence M. Gilley, 40, of Rock Falls, was arrested for driving while license suspended and cited for no taillights.
09/07/25 – Warrant Arrest
At 4:43 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle at West Penn Corner Road and South Hickory Road. Anna M. Eichelberger, 22, of Mount Morris, was arrested on an Ogle County failure to appear warrant for resisting/obstructing.
09/07/25 – Felony DUI/Traffic Arrest
At 6:48 p.m., deputies attempted a stop at Illinois Route 64 and Illinois Route 251. The driver of a Chevrolet 2500 fled before being stopped near Rockford. Mario Lazaro Rodriguez, 25, of DeKalb, was arrested for aggravated DUI, aggravated fleeing, and no valid license.
09/08/25 – Traffic Accident
At 4:54 a.m., deputies responded to a crash in the 400 block of 3rd Street, Kings. A Toyota sedan struck a tree. Driver Karalyn R. Gross, 34, of Chicago, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and cited for improper lane usage and no insurance.
09/08/25 – Warrant/Traffic Arrest
At 12:24 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle at Illinois Route 72 and Illinois Route 251. Brett Simpson, 40, of Hillcrest, was arrested on an Ogle County warrant, and cited for driving while suspended and no insurance. Passenger Elicia Palmer, 34, of Rochelle, was arrested on an Ogle County warrant.
09/08/25 – Traffic Arrest
At 2:29 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle at Flagg Road and Illinois Route 251. Alvaro Pacheco-Ramiez, 39, of Juniper, Alabama, was arrested for no valid license and cited for disobeying a stop sign and improper lane usage.
09/12/25 – Traffic Crash
At 10:30 a.m., deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at U.S. Route 52 and Freeport Road. A vehicle driven by Cheyenne Sigman, 25, of Blanchardville, Wisconsin, struck another driven by Rae Paulsen, 72, of Lanark. Paulsen was taken to FHN Hospital with minor injuries. Sigman was cited for failure to yield.

At 11:47 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle in the 6000 block of North Kilbuck Road. Earl Roshell, 54, of Rockford, was cited for no valid license and no valid registration.

At 2:02 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle in the 12,000 block of East Illinois Route 72. Gary Hunt, 35, of Freeport, was cited for driving while license suspended and no insurance.

At 11:39 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle at Townline Road and Conger Road. Cole Bishop, 34, of Mount Morris, was arrested for driving while license suspended and cited for a registration violation.
09/13/25 – Motorcycle Crash
At 2:02 p.m., deputies responded to a crash in the 2000 block of West Illinois Route 72. A deer struck a motorcycle operated by David W. Grundy, 57, of Beloit, Wisconsin. Grundy sustained minor injuries and was taken to Javon Bea Hospital.
09/14/25 – Domestic Battery
At 12:14 a.m., deputies responded to the 3900 block of East Oak Grove Road, rural Byron. Nicholas Liston, 44, of Byron, was arrested for domestic battery and held in jail pending court.

At 6:01 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle at Illinois Route 64 and Illinois Route 26. Dario Arguelles, 45, of DeKalb, was arrested for no valid license and cited for no mud flaps.
