Traffic Arrest
On 10/16/2025 at approximately 1754 hours, Deputies attempted to stop a black Can-Am UTV in the 1000 block of S. White Rock Road. The UTV fled into multiple fields before Rochelle Police located it in the 1200 block of N. Caron Road. Harold Thompson, age 53 of Rochelle, was arrested for Aggravated Fleeing to Elude (Class 4 felony) and issued citations for speeding 21–25 mph over the limit, failure to stop at intersections (x2), operating an uninsured vehicle, operating a non-highway vehicle on the roadway, and reckless operation of a non-highway vehicle. Thompson was transported to the Ogle County Jail and released on a Notice to Appear. All subjects are presumed innocent.
Accident with Non-Life-Threatening Injuries
On 10/16/2025 at approximately 2101 hours, Deputies responded to the 8000 block of West Illinois Route 64, Mount Morris, for a single-vehicle accident. Zayne W. Hoffman, age 18 of Forreston, was driving a 2016 Lexus westbound when he left the roadway, crossed into the eastbound lane, and ended in a cornfield. Hoffman was transported to OSF St. Katherine Hospital in Dixon for non-life-threatening injuries and issued citations for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Failure to Reduce Speed. Deputies were assisted by Mount Morris Police, Mount Morris Fire, and Polo Fire. All subjects are presumed innocent.
Driving Under the Influence Arrest
On 10/17/2025 at approximately 0000 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop near IL Rte. 64 and Hickory Lane. Khavajay Nelson, age 24 of Genoa, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Compounds, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC of .08 or more. Nelson was also cited for improper lighting, speeding 15–20 mph above the limit, possession of adult-use cannabis, and operating an uninsured vehicle. Nelson was transported to the Ogle County Jail and released on a Notice to Appear. All subjects are presumed innocent.
Driving Under the Influence Arrest
On 10/17/2025 at approximately 0157 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop near Armour Road and IL Rte. 72. Steven Young, age 50 of Stillman Valley, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Possession of a Concealed Firearm while under the influence. He was also cited for a Scott’s Law violation. Young was transported to the Ogle County Jail and released on a Notice to Appear. All subjects are presumed innocent.
Traffic Crash with Arrest
On 10/17/2025 at 0620 hours, Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at 400 E IL Rte. 38 in Creston. Francisco Diaz Jr., age 18 of Rochelle, in a tan 2018 Chevrolet Malibu, struck the rear of a red 2024 Honda Prologue operated by Valerie M. Perez, age 49 of Creston. Perez was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and released on a Notice to Appear. No other citations were issued. All subjects are presumed innocent.
Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
On 10/18/2025 at approximately 0022 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 17000 block of East Illinois Route 72 near Monroe Center. Russell Gorsuch, age 60 of Davis Junction, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving Under the Influence with a BAC of .08 or more. He was additionally cited for Improper Lane Usage, Operating an Uninsured Vehicle, and Open Alcohol Container as a Driver. Gorsuch was transported to the Ogle County Jail and released on a Notice to Appear. All subjects are presumed innocent.

On 10/18/2025 at 1246 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 15000 block of E IL RTE 72. Fernando Avila, age 35 of Kingston, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and issued citations for Suspended Registration/Non-Insured and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. Avila was released on a Notice to Appear. All subjects are presumed innocent.

On 10/19/2025 at 1601 hours, Deputies conducted a welfare check in the 17000 block of W IL RTE 72. Taylor L. Jones, age 31 of Clinton, Iowa, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and released on a Notice to Appear. All subjects are presumed innocent.

On 10/19/2025 at 1702 hours, Deputies responded to a trespassing complaint near 11000 North Illinois Route 2. Michael Arana, age 42 of Mount Morris, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and cited for operating an uninsured vehicle. Arana was released on a Notice to Appear. All subjects are presumed innocent.

On 10/20/2025 at approximately 2022 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop near Pines Road and Ridge Road. Frank Froeber, age 45 of Loves Park, was arrested for No Valid License and cited for no splash guards. Froeber was released on a Notice to Appear. All subjects are presumed innocent.

On 10/21/2025 at approximately 0019 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7000 block of N IL Rte. 251. Brenda Monica Rivera Alvarado, age 21 of Rockford, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and cited for operating an uninsured vehicle and inoperable registration light. Rivera Alvarado was released on a Notice to Appear. All subjects are presumed innocent.

On 10/22/2025 at 1153 hours, Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at W IL RTE 72 and N Pecatonica Road. Marcy L. Tracy, age 35 of Byron, was driving a red 2021 Chevrolet Suburban southbound, disregarded a stop sign, and collided with a westbound white 2021 Chevrolet Silverado driven by John P. Erbsen, age 60 of Lanark. Tracy’s vehicle overturned and struck a utility pole. Tracy was cited for Disobey Stop Sign, Failure to Reduce Speed, and Operate an Uninsured Vehicle and transported to Swedish American Hospital for minor injuries. All subjects are presumed innocent.

On 10/23/2025 at approximately 0108 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop near East IL Rte. 64 and Lynnville Road. Scott D. McCall, age 44 of Sycamore, was arrested for Driving While Unlicensed and cited for an inoperable registration light. McCall was released on a Notice to Appear. All subjects are presumed innocent.
Traffic Accident
On 10/24/2025 at approximately 0931 hours, Deputies responded to a two-vehicle collision at Illinois Route 72 and Rural Street in Stillman Valley. Braulio H. Campos, age 26 of Beloit, WI, driving a gray Toyota Corolla, disregarded a stop sign and was struck by an eastbound Jeep Grand Cherokee. Campos was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle without a Valid License and cited for Disregarding Traffic Control Device and Operating without Insurance. He was released on a Notice to Appear. All subjects are presumed innocent.
Aggravated Battery
On 10/25/2025 at 1358 hours, Deputies responded to the 100 block of Center Avenue in Chana regarding an altercation that occurred on 10/24/2025. Scott Etes, age 48 of Rochelle, was arrested for Aggravated Battery – causing great bodily harm and transported to the Ogle County Jail pending court. All subjects are presumed innocent.
Aggravated Fleeing to Elude, Warrants, Agg DUI, Agg Assault, Possession of Cocaine, and Other Charges
On 10/25/2025 at approximately 0025 hours, Deputies responded to a driving complaint near IL Rte. 38 and Beck Road. Donna M. Di Nardo, age 62 of Des Plaines, IL, fled from Deputies in a black Ford Escape and was arrested on multiple charges including Aggravated Assault with a motor vehicle, Aggravated Fleeing to Elude, Aggravated DUI, Possession of Cocaine (<15g), DUI drugs, Driving While License Suspended, Fleeing to Elude, and active warrants from McHenry County and Waushara County, Wisconsin. She was also cited for no taillights, operating an uninsured vehicle, and two counts of failure to obey a stop sign. Di Nardo was transported to Ogle County Jail and held on warrants pending court. Rochelle Police assisted. All subjects are presumed innocent.
DUI Accident
On 10/26/2025 at approximately 2016 hours, Deputies responded to a vehicle on fire in the 5000 block of E IL Rte. 64. Clifford Lancaste, age 40 of Oregon, lost control of his vehicle, which overturned and caught fire. Lancaste was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and cited for Improper Lane Usage, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle. He was transported to Ogle County Jail and released. Oregon Fire/EMS assisted. All subjects are presumed innocent.

Lazaro Mario Fundichely-Duoueene, age 49 of Rockford, was arrested for Driving While Unlicensed and cited for an inoperable registration light. He was released on a Notice to Appear. All subjects are presumed innocent.

Heriberto Garnica Leon, age 34 of Poplar Grove, IL, was arrested for Driving/Never Issued License and cited for No Muffler, Expired Registration, and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle. He was transported to Ogle County Jail and released on a Notice to Appear. All subjects are presumed innocent.

On 10/28/2025 at approximately 2327 hours, Deputies responded to a property-damage crash at N Freeport Rd and W Harper Rd. Jyaire D. Sago, age 22 of Rockford, lost control of his vehicle, slid into a ditch, and was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and cited for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle. He was released on a Notice to Appear. All subjects are presumed innocent.
Traffic and Intent to Deliver Cannabis Arrest
On 10/30/2025 at 1555 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Illinois Route 38 in Creston. Jason Bock, age 27 of DeKalb, was arrested for Driving While License Revoked, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis (30–100 grams), and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver. Bock was transported to Ogle County Jail, processed, and released on a Notice to Appear. All subjects are presumed innocent.

Lind Strutzenberg, age 70 of Freeport, was arrested for No Valid Driver’s License and cited for Operating an Uninsured Vehicle. He was released on a Notice to Appear. All subjects are presumed innocent.
DUI Arrest
On 10/31/2025 at approximately 2040 hours, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 7000 block of North Illinois Route 251. Kiefer Hackler, age 24 of Rockford, was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Drugs and cited for Improper Lane Usage, Operating an Uninsured Vehicle, and Failure to Carry/Display License. Hackler was transported to Rochelle Community Hospital and released on a Notice to Appear. All subjects are presumed innocent.
