OREGON — The annual Ogle County Farm Stroll is coming Sunday, giving visitors a chance to tour local family farms from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guests can explore orchards, bison ranches, dairy goat farms, maple syrup producers, and organic honey and garlic farms, with opportunities to sample products, pick fruits, and learn about sustainable farming. Participating farms include BerryView Orchard, Hough’s Maple Lane Farm, Ponto Ranch, Hinrichs Farm, Jen’s Sunshine Farm, Barnhart’s Stone Corner, Happily Homegrown, Orion Organics, Triple Creek Bison, and Dietrich Ranch. The free event encourages visitors to dress for the weather, wear closed-toe shoes, and pick up a “passport” at their first stop for a chance to win prizes by visiting multiple farms. Master Gardeners will be on site at several farms with educational activities, and cash is recommended for farm products and other activities.
