OREGON – The price of tying the knot will be going up in Ogle County. The Ogle County Finance, Revenue and Insurance Committee voted on June 10th to raise the marriage license fee from $40 to $60, the first increase since 2018. County Clerk Laura Cook recommended the new rate, saying it was a reasonable adjustment compared to other counties and less than the $75 maximum allowed. The committee supported the change and also approved related increases to Recorder fees, set to take effect August 1.
