ROCKFORD – A man is accused of threatening to shoot Rockford Mayor Tom McNamara. Court documents say 46-year-old Rickie Traeger sent a threatening letter to McNamara on Friday. When Rockford police later questioned him, he told them he was going to shoot the mayor in the head. Traeger is charged with three counts of threatening a public official. WIFR-TV reports that Traeger also is the admin of the facebook group Rockford Scanner.
