ROCHELLE – The 28th annual Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival kicks off tonight at Atwood Park with the Rochelle Kiwanis Little Miss Peanut Contest at 7 p.m., followed by live music from Rollin Whiskey at 8. The festival runs through Sunday, August 17, and features a car and motorcycle show, dance performances, live music, a parade, food vendors, a beer garden, and family activities. A new shuttle bus will run from Rochelle Township High School to the festival Friday through Sunday to help attendees reach the grounds while downtown construction continues.
