DIXON — The Lee County Sheriff Office reported one impaired driving arrest and five seat belt citations during the St Patrick’s Day enforcement period from March 13 through 6 a.m. March 23. Deputies also issued ten speeding citations, five distracted driving citations, three arrests for suspended revoked or no valid drivers license, one warrant arrest, and sixteen citations for other moving violations, along with twenty one warnings for other moving and equipment violations. The enforcement effort was conducted with state and local partners as part of the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Drive High Get a DUI campaign and was funded by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
