CHICAGO – The U.S. Department of Justice has until Aug. 22 to amend its federal complaint against migrant sanctuary policies throughout the state of Illinois. A federal district judge Friday ordered the case dismissed without prejudice, saying the DOJ can file an amended complaint in the weeks ahead or the case will be dismissed with prejudice, meaning the DOJ won’t be able to bring the case again.
