Interim Chief Announced For Rockford Fire Department

ROCKFORD —  There is a new temporary leader of the Rockford Fire Department.  Fire and Police Commission announced the appointment of Brian Carlson as Interim Fire Chief.  Carlson is stepping into the role following the departure of Chief Michele Pankow, who has been appointed Fire Marshal for the State of Illinois.  Carlson has been with the Rockford Fire Department for 27 years.  He’ll begin as Interim Fire Chief on July 9th.
