Illinois National Guard Conducts Weapons Training At Marseilles Center

MARSEILLES — Soldiers from multiple units in the Illinois Army National Guard completed Individual Weapons Qualification training March 23 through 25 at the Marseilles Training Center, where they worked under instructors from the Small Arms Readiness and Training Section to improve weapons skills and prepare to train others in their units. The training included classroom simulation, live fire exercises, and a final qualification range using M4 carbines to assess proficiency. Officials say the course is designed to strengthen readiness by building confidence and ensuring soldiers can effectively operate and teach weapons use in field environments.
