Illinois Commission Seeks Testimony From Trump Officials Over Operation Midway Blitz

CHICAGO — The Illinois Accountability Commission has sent letters requesting testimony from current and former Trump administration officials tied to Operation Midway Blitz as part of an investigation into alleged federal misconduct and enforcement actions across Illinois. The requests were issued by Commission Chair Judge Ruben Castillo and directed to Stephen Miller, Tom Homan, Kristi Noem, Gregory Bovino, Tricia McLaughlin, Corey Lewandowski, Todd Lyons, and Rodney Scott. The commission is examining the planning, authorization, and execution of the operation and the roles played by federal officials. The hearings are scheduled for April 27 and April 28. The commission was created by Governor JB Pritzker to document federal law enforcement actions in Illinois and will submit a final report to the governor by April 30.
