CHICAGO — The Illinois Housing Development Authority is now accepting applications for its Permanent Supportive Housing Development Program, which provides loans, forgivable loans and grants to developers building or preserving affordable housing with supportive services for residents at risk of homelessness, those with disabilities and individuals needing ongoing care. This year’s round includes funding from the Illinois Opioid Remediation Fund for projects serving people with substance use or co-occurring disorders who are homeless. Interested development teams must attend informational webinars on Aug. 6 and Aug. 7 before submitting Preliminary Project Assessments by Sept. 17, with full applications due in January 2026.
