Hinckley Woman Arrested After Domestic Battery Incident Involving Knife

HINCKLEY — A 35-year-old Hinckley woman was arrested late Tuesday night after DeKalb County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic battery call in the 500 block of Prairie Street. Deputies arrived around 11:35 p.m. and determined that the suspect, Monica Bussanmas, had allegedly struck the victim with a knife during a physical altercation. Bussanmas was charged with two counts of domestic battery, unlawful possession of a weapon, and aggravated battery. The victim was treated for minor injuries at the scene. Bussanmas was taken to the DeKalb County Jail ahead of a pretrial hearing.
