DAVIS JUNCTION — The newly resurfaced basketball court at Community Park in Davis Junction was damaged after someone rode a scooter across the fresh coating before it had fully cured. Village officials said the court had been closed with caution tape, but the damage occurred before the surface was ready for use. Officials said additional visual reminders may be added during future projects to help keep people off freshly coated surfaces until they are reopened.
