DEKALB — The 25th annual Freezin For Food event ended at the Sycamore HyVee after volunteers collected nonperishable food and monetary donations for the Salvation Army, with organizers reporting more than 125,000 equivalent pounds gathered. More than one hundred sixty donors contributed items such as canned goods, peanut butter, soups, toiletries, cleaning products, and pet food during the multi day effort to help families in DeKalb County.
