Fire Damages Hinckley Home, No Injuries Reported

HINCKLEY — A family escaped safely after a basement fire broke out late Tuesday at a home in the 6300 block of Somonauk Road in Hinckley, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded around 10:23 p.m. and found the family had evacuated without injury. The fire was contained by crews from Hinckley, Sandwich, Big Rock and Somonauk fire departments. The Illinois State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause.
