Earlville Woman Charged in Health Care Fraud Case

CHICAGO — Thirteen people in the Northern District of Illinois have been charged in a nationwide health care fraud sweep involving nearly $2 billion in alleged fraudulent billing. Authorities say the schemes led to more than $865 million in improper payments from Medicare, HRSA, and private insurers. Among those charged is 52-year-old Cher Farley of Earlville, who allegedly imported and dispensed unapproved Botox and Sotox without prescriptions. The national crackdown included over 320 defendants and $245 million in seized assets.
