Diocese of Springfield, Rockford Pregnancy Center Sue Over State Law

SPRINGFIELD –  The Diocese of Springfield and a Rockford pro-life pregnancy center are suing over a state law.  A lawsuit was filed last week challenging the Illinois Human Rights Act.  The plaintiffs claim the law forces religious organizations to hire employees who don’t adhere to their beliefs.  Lawyers representing the plaintiffs argue that the law violates constitutional protections.
