DeKalb Firefighters Quickly Control Blaze on Magnolia Street

DEKALB — A fire that began on the exterior of a home on Magnolia Street on Saturday in DeKalb caused $39,000 in damages. The DeKalb Fire Department responded to the scene shortly after 8:45 PM, where they discovered flames visible from the side of the building. Firefighters worked to contain the blaze in around 10 minutes, which had spread into the attic. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.
