SYCAMORE — The DeKalb County Community Foundation has taken over the management of the DeKalb County Nursing Home Foundation Fund, which provides crucial support to the DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center. This non-endowed fund helps enhance the quality of life for residents by funding programs, activities, and facility improvements. The DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center, a 190-bed skilled-care facility, benefits from grants that have funded social outings, equipment upgrades, and other enhancements. The transfer of the fund, which was created in the early 1990s, aligns with the center’s continued operations under local administration. Donations to support the fund can be made online or by mail to the Community Foundation.
