DEKALB — The DeKalb City Council has approved spending about $487,000 in federal transit funds on Monday night to buy three medium-duty paratransit buses and one ADA-accessible Chrysler Voyager van. The new vehicles will replace aging units in the city’s fleet, and no local funding is required because the purchases are covered by federal Transportation Development Credits. About $416,000 will go toward the buses and $71,500 for the minivan.
