DCCF $110,000 Grant to Support Early Learning Efforts

SYCAMORE — The DeKalb County Community Foundation has awarded a $110,000 grant over three years to the DeKalb County Regional Office of Education to expand early learning and school readiness programs across the county through 2027. The funding will support the DeKalb County Collaborative for Young Children and Basics DeKalb County and will help continue efforts that connect families with early learning resources. The grant will also support the Kindergarten Readiness Toolkit Program, which has distributed more than 5,000 toolkits since 2020 and provides books and learning materials to help children prepare for school. Officials said the partnership will strengthen coordination among schools, nonprofits, and community partners and improve support for young children and their families.
