ROCKFORD – State Senator Andrew Chesney, who represents Illinois’ 45th Senate District, announced his re-election campaign Tuesday, highlighting his record as a member of the Illinois Freedom Caucus and one of the most conservative lawmakers in the General Assembly. The 45th District covers portions of northwest Illinois, including parts of Ogle county. Chesney has positioned himself as a critic of tax increases, sanctuary policies, and Democratic leadership in Springfield. Chesney was first elected to the Senate in 2022.
