Byron Wins Daytona 500 Following Rain Delay

(Daytona Beach, FL) — William Byron has won the Daytona 500 for the second straight year. The start of the race was moved up more than hour due to the forecast of rainy weather, with a rain delay taking place.

Byron is the first driver to win back-to-back Daytona’s since Denny Hamlin in 2019-2020.

President Trump attended the race, which is the first official event of the 2025 NASCAR season. Trump arrived at Daytona International Speedway and did a lap around the track in the presidential limo.
