BYRON — A sewer lining project in Byron is getting underway with crews beginning cleaning work on sewer lines included in the city’s 2026 streets program. The cleaning phase will continue for several days, with the actual cured in place pipe lining work expected to begin in about a month. Door hangers were distributed to affected residents with information about the project and possible noise during the work. The city said sewer service is not expected to be interrupted, but residents may hear equipment operating and could experience minor pressure changes in sewer lines. Residents in the affected area are advised to keep toilet lids closed and place a towel near the top of the bowl as a precaution. The $235,000 project includes lining sewer mains and manholes along All Saints Drive and Hamer Court to help reduce backups, root intrusion and long term maintenance issues.
