Byron Council Considers Liquor License Expansion for Constellation Plant Workers

BYRON — The Byron City Council held a first reading on an ordinance Wednesday night that would expand liquor license hours for bars and restaurants to accommodate employees during nuclear plant outages and repairs. Officials said the change would allow businesses to serve workers on extended shifts and align license language with Illinois Gaming Machine rules. Council members plan to act on the measure at a future meeting.
