ROCHELLE — Burlington Junction Railway President and CEO Peter Hoth told the Rochelle City Council that the company is marking its 40th anniversary and is grateful to be part of the community. The railway handles a wide range of commodities and offers transload services in several states.

“Expansion is going to allow us to work with additional transload customers, increase our volume with our current customers, to serve those in the area that don’t have direct rail service,” Hoth said.
He also said the company hopes to grow new business at the Transload Center and bring larger employers to the region. Hoth noted recent safety awards, ongoing expansion work nearing completion, and that the company has met its annual fee commitments to the city.
