Bill That Would Ban AI Therapists Heads To Governor’s Desk

SPRINGFIELD —  A bill that would ban the use of AI therapists is headed for Governor Pritzker’s desk.  Lawmakers passed the measure Tuesday that would also regulate the use of AI in therapy.  The bill would require that only a licensed professional could provide therapeutic or psycho-therapeutic services to another person.  Violators would have to pay a ten-thousand-dollar fine.
