Rockford Man Charged In Ogle Co Hit And Run

BYRON  —   A 30-year-old Rockford man is charged in a hit and run.  Authorities say Austyn Summers was driving on Illinois Route 2 in Ogle County yesterday morning when he allegedly struck another person.  Summers fled, leaving the victim in a ditch.  The victim was sent to the hospital with serious injuries.  Summers was later arrested and charged with failure to report a personal injury accident, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
