Rain-Soaked Chamber Play Day Held Thursday

ROCHELLE – The annual Rochelle Chamber of Commerce Play Day at Fairways Golf Course was held Thursday. Brief interruptions of rain showers didn’t dampen the mood as dozens of foursomes hit the links to enjoy not only golf, but food, drinks, and prizes. The sold-out event, presented by The Burlington Junction Railway,  usually crowns a champion team each year, but due to the weather disruption, Rochelle Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Tricia Herrera announced that they could not determine a winner this year because not all teams were able to finish their round.
