Truck Fire Destroys Vehicle in Rochelle Driveway, No Injuries Reported

ROCHELLE – A pickup-truck was destroyed in a vehicle fire reported on Tuesday afternoon in a driveway in the 300 block of Irene Avenue. Rochelle Fire was called a little after 3 PM for the blaze, which was located near a residence. A neighbor across the street reportedly called in the fire, which is believed to have started in the engine compartment due to a suspected mechanical issue. Fire crews contained the blaze before it could damage the nearby building. No injuries were reported, and the Rochelle Police Department assisted at the scene.
