Firefighters Quickly Extinguish Rochelle Kitchen Fire

ROCHELLE – A cooking fire that spread to the kitchen cabinets was quickly extinguished by the Rochelle Fire Department Tuesday afternoon.  A neighbor called 911 around 2 p.m. after realizing there may be a fire in the multiunit dwelling in the 1000 block of Carrie Ave. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze and the damage to just the kitchen area.  No injuries were reported and the displaced resident will be staying at an adjacent unit on the same property. The Ogle-Lee Fire Protection District assisted Rochelle Fire at the scene.
