Juvenile Referred to Court After Package Thefts in Cortland

CORTLAND – Police said a juvenile has been identified and referred to the juvenile court system following reports of package thefts from front doors in the community. The Cortland Police Department said it was notified Wednesday about the incidents and used video from home security systems to identify the suspect. Officers located the juvenile and recovered the stolen property, which has been returned to the owners. Police said the update is being shared to inform residents who had concerns about the situation.
