John Deere Laying Off Employees At Three Factories

EAST MOLINE —  John Deere is laying off workers at three factories in Illinois and Iowa in the coming week.  Deere & Company announced it will lay off nearly 240 employees at Harvester Works in East Moline, Seeding and Cylinder in Moline, and Foundry in Waterloo, Iowa.  The company cited decreased demand and lower order volumes as the reason for the cuts.
