ROCHELLE — The Roberts Armory WWII Museum will open its doors to the public today from 1 to 4 p.m. as part of the Rochelle Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival. Visitors can explore World War II tanks, trucks, cannons, and 1945 newspapers featuring local veterans. The Higgins Boat will be on display, weather permitting. The museum is located about three miles from Rochelle off Rt. 251 and Intermodal Drive, with signs marked by an Army truck. There is no admission charge. The next scheduled opening is November 9.
