Youth Engaged in Philanthropy (YEP), a student-led committee of the DeKalb County Community Foundation, has awarded $23,753 in grants to 13 local organizations supporting youth-focused programs and services across DeKalb County. This year’s funding—based on over $30,000 in requests—was approved following a review and recommendation process led by 78 high school students from 12 area schools. Grants include support for teen parents, bilingual library collections, youth mental health efforts, and STEM education, among other initiatives.
