SANDWICH — A Yorkville woman was cited after a crash involving a school bus late Friday morning near Sandwich, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said an SUV driven by a 22-year-old Yorkville woman was eastbound on Pratt Road at East Sandwich Road around 11:30 a.m., when she allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the intersection into the path of a northbound Sandwich CUSD 430 school bus. The bus struck the SUV in the intersection, sending the SUV off the roadway before coming to a rest in the northeast corner of the intersection. Both drivers and the 24 student passengers on the bus were not injured. The SUV driver was cited for disobeying a stop sign.
