Winning Streak Continues For The Cubs

(Chicago, IL) — The Cubs are on fire after sweeping their four-game series against the Reds. The team cruised to an 8-3 victory from Wrigley.
Miguel Amaya drove-in a pair of runs as part of a seven-run fourth inning.
Chicago is now riding a nine-game winning streak and 19 out of their last 22 games.
They have
also won 15 straight games at Wrigley Field.
Rhett Lowder gave up three runs over three innings before leaving with an injury for Cincy, which has dropped seven straight.
The Cubs open up a series Friday night in Texas against the Rangers.

The Chicago Cubs are down another starting pitcher. The team placed left-hander Matthew Boyd on the 15-day injured list. Boyd needs surgery after injuring his knee while playing with his kids this week.
Chicago hasn’t announced a time-table for Boyd’s return.
The 35-year-old is 2-and-1 with a 6.00 ERA in five starts this season.
