The Chicago White Sox announced Friday they plan to retire the number 13 this season worn by former player and manager Ozzie Guillen.

The ceremony will be held prior to the game with Cleveland on August 8th.

Guillen will become the first manager and 13th member of the organization to have his number retired.

He was a three-time All-Star for the White Sox from 1985 to 1997 during his 16-year career.

Guillen won 678 games from 2004 to 2011. He was the White Sox manager when they won the World Series in 2005.
