Vehicle Shot at During Rochelle Disturbance, No Injuries Reported

ROCHELLE — Rochelle Police responded Saturday night to multiple reports of suspicious activity and gunfire in the area of Willis Avenue and Southview and Randall, where a vehicle was struck by gunfire about eight times. Officers said a large group of individuals dressed in black attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver continued around them. No injuries were reported. The group was last seen running west from the area. Police recovered two firearms near the scene, and the Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit is assisting in the investigation.
