ROCHELLE — Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014, the world’s largest operating steam locomotive, is scheduled to stop at Rochelle Railroad Park on Tuesday, June 2, as part of a coast to coast tour marking America’s 250th anniversary. The train is expected to arrive at 3:00 p.m. and depart at 3:15 p.m., giving railfans a brief opportunity to see the historic locomotive in motion. The tour includes more than 50 whistle stops across 10 states, along with larger public display events in select cities and a Fourth of July celebration in Philadelphia. The Rochelle stop is one of several short appearances where the public can view the locomotive trackside.
