Underwood Not Running To Replace Durbin

NAPERVILLE —  U.S. Representative Lauren Underwood won’t be running to replace retiring U.S. Senator Dick Durbin.  The Naperville Democrat announced her decision yesterday, saying the best way to serve families in Illinois and around the country is to stay in the House of Representatives.  Underwood has represented Illinois’ 14th Congressional District since 2019.  Several candidates have already joined the Democratic primary contest to succeed Durbin, including Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton.
