Two hurt In Explosion At Ottawa Chemical Plant

OTTAWA – Two people are hurt after an explosion at a chemical plant in Ottawa.  Fire officials say crews were called to the Coogee chemical plant yesterday morning. The plant sustained minimal damage, but operations were halted for the time being.  The two victims were taken to the hospital for treatment.  A preliminary investigation suggests that the explosion may have been the result of equipment failure during a process involving the transfer of magnesium into a storage container.
