ROCHELLE — Two people were injured in a three vehicle crash Saturday around 6:15 p.m. in the 9000 block of East Illinois Route 38. According to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office, an SUV driven by an 83-year-old Franklin Grove woman was traveling eastbound when it allegedly crossed into the westbound lane and struck a passenger vehicle driven by a 30-year-old Ashton man. The impact caused the Ashton man’s vehicle to leave the roadway before reentering and striking a third vehicle driven by a 54-year-old Dixon woman. Both the Franklin Grove woman and the Dixon woman were transported to Rochelle Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Ashton man was uninjured and declined medical treatment at the scene. No citations were issued. Rochelle Fire and EMS, Rochelle Police and Illinois State Police assisted at the scene.
