ROCHELLE — Mayor John Bearrows has declared November as Focus House Month in Rochelle, recognizing the organization’s work with at risk youth and families across Ogle County. Focus House was established in 1975 to provide residential care, education, counseling and community support for young people. The organization has served thousands of youth and families over the past 51 years, with help from staff, volunteers, supporters and community partners. The proclamation also recognizes the Foundation for Focus House for its fundraising efforts and support of the organization’s services. Bearrows thanked Ogle County and the Ogle County Board for their continued support and partnership with Focus House. The City Council’s recognition commends the organization’s staff and supporters and encourages residents throughout Rochelle and Ogle County to appreciate the services provided to local youth and families.
