The Rochelle Little League held their opening day ceremony Saturday morning.
The baseball and softball teams from the leagues gathered on the Joe Donor Field.
The first pitch for the season was thrown out by Henry Bunger. He has managed and coached in the Rochelle Little League for 33 years, 30 years in the major league.
The Spencer Sanderson Award went to Spencer and Karen Hayden for their dedication and service for many years to the Rochelle Little League.
Baseball and softball games will be played in May and June in the little league program. The All-Star Tournaments begin in July.
