The NFL is back with the official start of the preseason on Thursday. The Detroit Lions are set to battle the Los Angeles Chargers in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio. The matchup features a pair of teams that have not taken part in the Hall of Fame Game since 1994, when the Chargers took the field. The Lions are making their first appearance in the game since 1991. The league is preparing for the enshrinement of wide receiver Sterling Sharpe, tight end Antonio Gates, defensive end Jared Allen and defensive back Eric Allen into the hallowed halls of Canton this weekend.
