Taste of DeKalb Returns with Food, Music, and Support for Local Youth

DEKALB — The 2025 Taste of DeKalb, hosted by the Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary Club alongside the Corn Classic 10K, will be held Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Frank Van Buer Plaza in downtown DeKalb. The free public event features food vendors and live music, including performances by InFunktious and The PriSSillas.

David Dozier with the Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary Club said having the race at the same time is a perfect fit.

“We’ve had a lot of success collaborating with the Corn Classic Race. It just seems like a no-brainer to have an event right at the end there,” he said. “We have a lot of people coming in, and they probably also want to wet their whistles after a race. And so it’s good to have both events happening concurrently.”

Proceeds from sponsorships will benefit the 2025 Rotary Community Grant, which provides up to $10,000 for programs supporting children, youth, and families in DeKalb County.
