Chicago – Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul praised the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision this week to uphold federal regulations that address ghost guns, which are untraceable firearms often assembled from kits purchased online. The rule clarifies that gun kits and parts are subject to the same regulations as fully manufactured firearms, including background checks and serial numbers. Raoul said that the ruling will help reduce gun violence and assist law enforcement in solving crimes involving untraceable weapons.
