Student Allegedly Made Threat at Stillman Valley School

STILLMAN VALLEY — A Meridian Community Unit School District 223 student who allegedly made a violent threat is facing disciplinary action and could face legal consequences, according to an email sent to parents and guardians Tuesday by Superintendent Dr. Michael Plourde. The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call from the district and investigated the reported threat. The junior high student has been identified, though no further details have been released, and law enforcement has assured the district that students and staff are safe to attend school Wednesday.
